Education equals FUTURE's mission is to raise awareness and educate parents, professionals, and the public concerning students with disABILITIES and special education issues and services. This includes appropriate education for all children with special needs in our community and to insure those students' needs are met under the state and federal laws.

 I believe...

     When you share the same information about special education, state and federal laws amongst parents, communities and school districts you level the playing field, resulting in better communication and the formation of partnerships thus reducing conflicts. 

    As a resource for community members, I hope to raise awareness and understanding of the issues affecting children with learning disabilities and special education. As a result, this develops support for diversity and inclusion within the education system. 

     Information and resources enable parents to make informed decisions regarding their rights and the rights of their children to receive a free and appropriate public education (FAPE), thereby, becoming an effective advocate for their child. 

     I believe that informed parents can effectively evaluate, shape, and implement  the public policies that affect them.

Many times we underestimate the most important teacher of our children...ourselves.
